Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

I’ve been a really good girl, no really! I actually have this year -  I’ve been socially distant all year, not just for lockdowns and I’ve done all my Eventing chores (well kinda….)

So how about a treat or two under the tree this year... Just in case you or Santa need some inspiration for what to put under the tree this year for me, or any equestrian mad friend or relative,, here’s some ideas…

Hiho Jewellery

I have been a huge fan of this brand for many years, their classic silver jewellery is simply stunning. I have my eye on a snaffle bracelet or stirrup necklace to add to my every growing collection.

Mojo

I may have been a naughty girl (don’t tell Santa) and already ordered my self a new Mojo wristband. I have been wearing my current one since Chatsworth back in May 2019. There is now a scientific sports study behind their enhancement of performance. For me it was about hopefully improving balance, coordination and as someone who has a few niggles here and there, whether it would help those too. I have to say that personally I have noticed a positive difference since wearing mine 24/7 (as they recommend) so I would thoroughly recommend giving one a go yourself…

Event Horse Owners Syndicate (EHOS)

The perfect gift for an Eventing super-fan has to be the amazing opportunity that EHOS have available currently….

Who can picture themselves at Badminton 2021, watching their, yes their, horse jogging into the start box on cross country day. Well this dream can truly become a reality for a lucky few people. EHOS have teamed up with Ben Hobday to offer a limited number of syndicate shares in Ben and Jayne Chamber’s Shadow Man II for 2021. Ben and super sexy ‘Fidgy’ plan to make their 5* debut at Badminton in the spring and you could be there with them - get dropping those hints now to Santa!

Lydia Kiernan Print

I don’t know about you, but I personally find that few artists can truly capture the beauty of a horse in motion - and Lydia is one of those talented folk. I have two of her pieces adorning my walls already - she captures the spirit of these stunning creatures, all their movement and character so perfectly. I have a wonderful print called ‘To the Right’ and it perfectly captures the movement and expression of the stunning horse - love it, but hey Santa there’s always room for some more of Lydia’s beautiful work in my cottage…

This is more of an Inso for Santa in case his ears get cold on that sleigh, as I am already lucky enough to own my own Horsequest Bobble Hat - it is super stylish and really keeps your head warm without overheating - love mine! GO and check out their website as there are lots of wonderful Horsequest items - the socks are amazing, perfect equestrian length and super warm and durable. Theres a great jacket and numnah too..

Pogo Footwear

For those who haven’t heard of Pogo Footwear, where have you been? I came across the supremely talented Lauren through capturing her and her Uber-talented Pogo back at Osberton last year. Turns out Lauren is a master with leather and makes the most beautiful bespoke shoes in her workshop. She has expanded her range this year to accessories, including the most stunning leather pouches - there’s a great ethical story behind her use of excess leather that would otherwise get wasted. I am the super proud owner of the most beautiful bespoke leather pouch - go and check her website out and her insta feed is full of behind the scenes sneaky peeks into her workshop.

British Eventing Gin

As a totally devoted Gin fan, this is a must on the list for Santa. The wonderful team at British Polo Gin launched their British Eventing Gin back at Osberton last year and I’m a big fan. Now their may be a bottle already in the kitchen awaiting Christmas Eve’s arrival thanks to the wonderful Gaby at 2TheBarn but hey that bottle needs company…

True Colours, the autobiography of Barry Geraghty

Hey Santa, you know I am a big Racing fan, especially National Hunt Racing and this delight has been on the Christmas list for ages - can not wait to hear more about arguably one of the best NH jockeys in the last 30 years.  Light the fire, get a glass of something and sit down to read this wonderful insight into the best jockey of my time….

Fairfax and Favour

Having followed the meteoric rise of this amazing British Brand over the last few years, I am finally ready to give in to the mass of love behind the brand and I have my eyes on the Boudica in Oak making its way onto my list for Santa, or the Kensingtons, or the Rockinghams…

So Satsuma

An amazing small business that I stumbled upon via Facebook - Clem and her mother Nana Satsuma knit the most stunning merino wool into magical creations. I love the Wave set and Clem makes the most wonderful Rabbit Hats - if you haven’t seen these, you need to *warning will make you make several purchases

For any little ones on your Christmas list, the bunny hats are a must. Check them out here

Katie Cardew Illustrations

I fell in love with Katie’s wonderful illustrations at Burghley a few years ago and I was lucky enough to visit her lovely shop in Stamford when I made my non-eventing Burghley trip back in September. A brilliant range of homewares, illustrations and gems such as the ‘Horselife Cotton Cosmetic Bag’ that is on my list for Santa this year.

Katie’s website of wonder is here

Joules

Santa I am such a long-standing Joules fan, discovering them in Point to Point fields many, many years ago. Their designs go from strength to strength and Santa could bring me any of their wonderful items and I’d be a very happy girl. Although if you need a hint Santa, then a Langton Heritage Bag would be perfect under my Christmas tree..

Head over to the Joules website and take a peek…

And finally, as I have been so good this year, any lot from Goresbridge Go For Gold sale would be the perfect treat (I wish!!)

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and raise a glass to hopefully a Happy New Year full of sporting action, fingers crossed…
